The AnMed Health Women's and Children's Hospital is a 72-bed facility and one of three hospitals in the AnMed Health system. The health system's other two licensed hospitals are the AnMed Health Medical Center and the AnMed Health Rehabilitation Hospital. AnMed Health is South Carolina’s largest, independent not-for-profit health system. It serves an eight-county area that covers much of the upstate and northeast Georgia. With 450 physicians on the medical staff and nearly 4,000 employees, AnMed Health is Anderson County’s largest employer.
