Radiological Protection personnel ensure safety by monitoring, evaluating, and controlling radiation hazards in various environments. They use specialized equipment to detect and measure radiation levels, implement safety protocols to minimize exposure risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Additionally, they may provide training to personnel on radiation safety procedures and contribute to emergency response plans related to radiological incidents. Provides leadership and direction through Managers and Leads in health physics, dosimetry, instrumentation, radiological engineering and health physics support, radiological records, and other programmatic areas. This support extends to multiple facilities/projects at SRS. They report through Radiological Protection Management and assist senior leadership (VP level) such as EM Operations and NNSA functions. They are tasked with ensuring project/facility objectives are met through prioritizing resources across health physics programs within the Radiological Protection Department.

Continuously evaluates key organizational and business challenges and develops new and innovative solutions to complex radiological and health physics challenges.

Negotiates with senior leadership within SRNS to include EM Operations and NNSA functions, key operational, engineering, and support organizations at the area level. Serves overall manager for health physics related support areas. - Fifteen or more YOE as an individual contributor in one or more of the roles managed plus six or more years of experience (YOE) in a relevant management role, OR Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field plus twelve or more years of experience (YOE) in one or more of the roles managed, OR Master's Degree in a relevant field plus eight or more years of experience (YOE) in one or more of the roles managed
- Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered
- Positions must adhere to qualifications and regulations as described in 10CFR835 and DOE-STD-1098-2008
