Senior Preconstruction Manager / Estimating Leader

A well-established and growing commercial construction organization is seeking a Senior Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating and preconstruction efforts for complex commercial projects. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in early-stage project development, strategic budgeting, and guiding projects from concept through turnover into operations.

This position offers strong visibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to directly influence project success, profitability, and company growth.

Responsibilities:
& Lead all preconstruction and estimating efforts from conceptual budgeting through project turnover
& Develop accurate conceptual and detailed estimates based on drawings, specifications, and project scope
& Coordinate bid packages, subcontractor/vendor pricing, site visits, and proposal development
& Partner closely with operations, project management, business development, clients, and subcontractors
& Develop and maintain preconstruction schedules to support seamless project execution
& Identify cost trends, value engineering opportunities, and process improvements
& Provide leadership and mentorship to preconstruction team members
& Support consistency across estimating and preconstruction deliverables

Qualifications:
& 10 years of commercial construction estimating and/or preconstruction experience
& Strong background in conceptual estimating, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination
& Ability to read and interpret complex plans, specifications, and project documents
& Proven leadership and mentoring experience
& Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
& Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
& Strong understanding of construction operations and project financials

Preferred Experience:
& Commercial, mixed-use, retail, office, healthcare, industrial, or large-scale construction projects
& Design-build or negotiated work experience preferred
& Experience with estimating and construction management software platforms
