| Advertised Job Summary | The Data and Student Engagement Specialist assists the Career and Professional Development team in developing strategies and solutions for student and employer engagement, and employment and professional development opportunities by using analytical methods, AI, and visualization tools to effectively match students’ interests and skills with employers’ recruiting needs. Gather, interpret, monitor, and analyze information to help students and employers improve employment outcomes more efficiently and effectively. The specialist is responsible for utilizing data-driven tools to track student engagement, student career goals, and employer needs, and will assist in identifying opportunities to increase employment opportunities. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Career and Professional Development and Leadership, the specialist uses data analysis to identify actions to align the office’s resources, programming, and advising efforts with measurable outcomes and institutional goals. |

Required Certification, Licensure/ Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s plus 2 years of analytical and database experience in the Career Services field. Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to organize, analyze, and disseminate data with attention to detail, and the ability to perform tasks quickly and accurately, and be a self-starter. Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Proficiency in Word. Experience with CRM software. Ability to tell visual stories with data using data visualization software. Extensive experience in and strong passion for empirical research and answering hard questions with data. Exceptional communication, data presentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly and concisely. Demonstrated ability to explain sophisticated analyses, technical concepts, and conclusions to a non-technical audience. Ability to handle confidential information with great discretion, tact, and judgment. A strong analytical, creative mind with a problem-solving approach. Results-oriented with a strong sense of vision and initiative, and strong organizational skills. Ability to work well with various constituencies, including faculty, staff, students, and employers.
