Job Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision, performs complex administrative/clerical duties for the associate warden of program services and the associate warden of operations. Orders/obtains items for inmate sales and/or special projects.

  • Assists with sales and financial reports as required.

  • Serves as the back-up for the warden's area.

  • Data entry/CRT/typing skills are required.

  • Responsible for other general office duties including, but not limited to, filing, preparing reports, etc.

  • Other duties as required.

  • This position requires contact with inmates.

Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.


SCDC Minimum Requirements:

  • A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment.

  • A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

One (1) year or more of administrative experience in a correctional setting is preferred.
